The Canary in the name is not the Tweety-bird type, but the Canary Islands, and the food features a strong Mediterranean influence. A versatile little cafe, bar and restaurant, Hairy Canary appeals across the board. It attracts a lunchtime crowd of suits, quiet bookworms and newspaper readers in the afternoons and then, towards the end of the week, hordes of funky young things out for a good night. The menu includes suggested food and wine pairings, and the food itself is better than most cafe fare.

Would go again
The service was great, by more than one waitress. Lovely, friendly, service. The food was scrumptious & not expensive. Can't wait to go back again. Vera
