The pet project of restaurateur mastermind Frank Stella, owner/operator of The Mess Hall on Bourke Street, the revamp of the decor here has seen this little gem get even better.
Small, quiet and intimate, Stellini Bar is the epitome of the city escape. Nothing here is rushed (especially customers) and consequently, everything is executed perfectly. The succinct Mediterranean-influenced menu takes the approach of simplicity done well, as seen with the shredded roast lamb with semolina, while a warm poached chicken salad with pearl couscous is an innovative and fresh recreation of what can be a tired dish.
