Taking its inspiration from the countless miniature cafes to be found in Tokyo, this diminutive hole in the wall served up stellar coffee and great cafe fare with a signature twist.
Just like his former digs, Woodstock Espresso in Armadale, owner Adam Wilkinson bases his latest cafe incarnation on a foundation of consistently good coffee: in this case, Rainforest Alliance-certified Espresso Syndicate.
The fare is standard cafe but given Wilkinson's signature twist. Daily specials include the inventive spicy potato and chorizo soup, or the popular steak roll. With its great coffee and on-the-go lunches, Small World attracts the corporate crowd like moths to the bright neon lights that also adorn this cute little cafe. So if you do plan on checking it out, do it after the morning coffee crowd and before the lunchtime rush.
