The gaudy exterior belies a rather grand interior of high ceilings, exposed beams and an imposing panelled bar. The tables are bedecked with flowers, glassware and napkins.

Bestest food on earth
I was in Sawasdee in 2007 with my Hon Deputy Minister. Actually we planned to have only one dinner at Sawasdee because we wanted to try out other restaurants in Melbourne, but the warmth and the personal treatment from the owner made the DM very honoured and we returned to the restaurant for every meal, for the next 4 days!!! Now I am planning for the Hon Minister trip to Melbourne and I am definitely going to put Sawasdee inside the programme. The food is excellent. The people are very professional yet friendly. * Dang! I really miss the food *.
