Will go again
The food at Mao was impressive. It tasted good, was presented well and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. We had duck and it wasn't oily, and wasn't dry - perfectly cooked. The dumplings we had were to die for - will be going back again.

Late night gem
We got in pretty late - there were only about 15 minutes left until closing, but we were given a table and the service was prompt and the food was delicious. We had the Peking duck entree, which was priced well. The pancakes came ready-filled (which I'd never had that way before - I'm used to more of a DIY approach) and were delicious. We shared a pork dish which was described as "a bit fat but not greasy" - it had a lot of fat, in typical cantonese style, which wasn't the ideal thing for that time of night. More a poor choice on my part than a poor dish. It was delicious, but be prepared for a lot of pork fat (deliciously flavoured and melt-in-your-mouth as it was). Great restaurant, and would go back to try other dishes.

Mao Please!
I've been to Post Mao a few times now and I've always found the staff to be helpful and pleasant and the food to be quite good.
Except maybe the complimentary prawn crackers, which seem a bit stale, but hey, they're complimentary - don't look a gift horse in the mouth!
