A popular dining spot, this modest restaurant serves a variety of hot and cold traditional Asian meals. Whet your appetite with some marinated cucumber or moist pork and chive dumplings before moving onto some succulent pork and chicken stir-fry or another of the chef's recommendations. The must-try here is the tea-smoked duck, priced at $24 for half or $45 for a whole.

PostDeng - no problems (again!)
I note the comments already posted. I am not a relative, employee or otherwise. My son and I "discovered" the Post Deng in September 2010 and we and the rest of my family have eaten there regularly since. Always great service - if you say you're in a hurry due to football/theatre they will look after you. The food has been consistently good. We have had large groups of people there and we've been well looked after. Maybe things have lifted since the 2009 postings?

Post-Deng Restaurant Sux
We ordered spring rolls & fried dim sims with sweet & sour sauce for an entree. We got 2 cold spring rolls about 10mins later then 4 steamed dim sims another 20mins later(fat juicy stuff ran out of it when you stabbed it). The meat with the main dishes wash very 'rubbery' and the staff very rude. They were constantly speaking very loudly in chinese over everybody in the restaurant & around our table. I actually wanted to do a "runner" and just leave without paying it was that bad. It was the worst place that I have ever been to. It was really bad. I will never go again!! The only reason that we stayed was because we ordered a bottle of wine & had to drink it. Disgusting Restaurant!!!

Dinner? - Almost Breakfast!
Waited almost an hour for our food. The waiting staff did not understand order. They made excuses for the lateness and did not apologise for the terrible service. They were fast enough to take the money (even then they charged us for a bottle of wine instead of the one glass that was ordered) - not a good introduction to Melbourne.. Not happy Post-Deng!

Post Deng - Past time
The Cafe was vastly understaffed last night. The waitresses tried hard but the service was appalling. No menu or drinks were offered until requested. One entree did not arrive - the other two 10 minutes apart. Main courses arrived separately - the final meal only after demanding service - the fried squid cool and unbelievably salty. Requests to speak with the manager were ignored. While waiting for our meal at least 4 groups of diners left before eating or left unhappy with the meals.
