The tomato: it's brought many a Mediterranean nation much joy and, in some cases, prosperity. In fact, once a year in Spain, people spend a day throwing them at each other. However, this tale of the tomato takes place in the Italian context, where the only tomato to be tossed will be in a salad, and perhaps accompanied by freshly torn basil and plump globules of buffalo mozzarella. Yes indeed, Il Pomodoro is an Italian celebration of one of the world's most famous cuisines.

Bad service
The waitress had a strange attitude when we advised that we hadn't decided on our order when she came to take it, and once we had ordered, the food took over half an hour to arrive with no apology. (People that arrived after us got their food first). Also, we weren't brought any water, and when we asked for some we waited quarter of an hour or so for it.
