Some say this is the most romantic restaurant in Melbourne. From the leatherbound menus and accented waiters to the chandeliers and Florentine murals on the walls, the Grossi Florentine is truly classic Italian dining. This is the place to take someone you want to impress - because you will definitely impress them. From furnishings to cutlery, everything is of the best quality, and the luxurious timber panelling and impressive murals contribute to the opulence. For a less formal but still stylish meal, the Cellar Bar offers a relaxed alternative.

Gourmet Travller 2009 Australian Restaurant Guide - "Dante might have conceived a set-up like this. The ground floor, with its all-day smart-tratt Cellar Bar, is hardly purgatory, but as you rise to the Grill, things get more lavish."

A religious experience
I could eat here everyday ... with an endless supply of cash, that is. Dining here is truly akin to a religious experience. The produce is of the highest quality, ingredients are expertly prepared and combined.
I've been here twice, and both times have had the degustation menu. I take my food seriously, and Grossi has not let me down yet. Indeed, in my opinion, this is Australia's best restaurant.
The service is warm, informed and attentive, and the atmosphere is wonderful - brimming with the lively chatter and joyful sounds that only really good food, shared with loved ones, can bring.
I can't wait till my next visit.

Environmentally conscious
I was impressed to see that Grossi Florentino was a founder of the Food for Trees scheme, how great to see something being done. Count me in - I'll try to choose Food for Trees members from now on - thanks Guy.
