French, Italian, Spanish? Whatever! It tastes good.
Saturday night saw us trying Bistro D'Orsay for the first time. The ambience is very French with the dark timber panelling and close knit arrangement of tables. The wine list was excellent with some very good European selections available that I hadn't seen anywhere else.

Entre began with the goat s cheese souffl? which was of excellent quality, very light, and well presented. Main course was the mushroom gnocchi, also excellent, followed by the strawberry charlotte for desert.

The only point I thought strange was sitting in a French restaurant, eating Italian gnocchi and ciabatta bread, listening to Spanish music. Perhaps a little French music could have added to the atmosphere.

Overall the food, service, decor and price were very good. I highly recommend it for a night out.

A new favourite
The atmosphere is very good for dinner; dark, cosy, romantic and warm. It can occasionally be a little crowded, especially if you're seated at the doorway. Book ahead and you can avoid this, though. The food is excellent and so is the service. Very professional all round.
