The entrance to this little contemporary bar bistro is fairly inconspicuous, but behind the unobtrusive shopfront lies a great little trendy locals' bar. The truncated menu serves up modern pub grub with a distinctly gastro-pub feel to it, without being too pretentious.
A scotch fillet with Cafe de Paris butter and hand-cut chips tips the scales as the heavyweight of the menu, while potato, leek and fetta croquettes offer something a little lighter.
The wine list is extensive and well-rounded and huge bonus points are awarded for suggesting only a dry martini if you're after a cocktail. Even better, the opening hours are flexible when it comes to major sporting events - namely, all of them.
