Ah'Loys

The low prices of this established Malaysian restaurant belie the quality of the food and service. The softly lit space is decorated with jigsaw puzzles in down-lit alcoves, while the chef fits together tasty local and imported elements in unique combinations.

Best Beef Rendang and great authentic Malaysian food
Ignore the super rapid fire service (take your time ordering if you don't want to be finished in under an hour) and be prepared for amazing food. The Beef Rendang is outstanding (and you'll hold this as the benchmark others won't live up too), the calamari is great, the eggplant melts in your mouth - just try it all.
Head here for the food.....brilliant for a large group too.

Also BYO and there is a bottle shop next door.

Fantastic Food
I definitely recommend trying this place. Our family regularly visit this place. We're in love with the satay skewers and the lobak (very unique dish wrapped in tofu skin), the roti (a must have) served with curry (we had the curry fish, that was served in a burning minature wok - excellent presentation, and tasted just as good). The api chicken comes out flaming. It's an exotic dish I must admit, the sweet and sour flavours are served with rice, which is a good combination. Also a quick mention, the smell of the sizzling prawns as the waitress brings it out of the kitchen just makes you drool.
